I always have been passionate for photography, but I just started shooting has practically 5 years
I am a self-taught person; I studied a lot by reading, seeing exhibitions, photographing a lot, and with my friend’s photographers who were always giving me some tips. The only "formation" that I took was a photo-journalism workshop with the photographer Alfredo Cunha offered by the CCCTV in exchange I had to make a photo-reportage of the same

For me the photography is a constant learning no end in sight.
I am basically a street-photographer. I like to photograph people and their environments, cultures, etc.
I also photograph events, festivals, theater, music, sports, etc., or social photo-reportage.
Some of these examples you can see them on my pages. They are CiArte (Cologne International Arts), CCCTV (Cooperative Communication and Culture of T. Vedras "music, art exhibitions, installations, photography, etc..) Nights of Tecauto (Classic Music), Amador Theater of Carreiras, Trophy Joaquim Agostinho (cycling), A.E.S.D.A. the Festival of youth, etc.
I don’t use flash or artificial lighting in my photos, I like to use the light just like it is and explore it, night or day, indoors or outside.
Moreover besides the constant search to capture the people’s “soul”, one of my passions in photography, the other is light, how it’s transmitted, how it’s reflected, etc. Maybe that is why I have a great passion for B & W and for its light. In my photos I use image-editing software in which I only hit's and level of contrast and a bit of USM in which to resize the web.
The rest, for me, is how Henri Cartier Bresson says, it depends on the eye, head and heart … It’s the peculiarity of the photographer, and what he puts in his images. Learn the technique and forget it when you photograph.
I used a Fuji S7000 in most of my photos and currently I use a Canon 40D with typical lenses for photo-reportage17-50 and 70-200, both F2, 8 fixed.
