Rafael starts to repair an old camera from his father at 11 years of age.  He then began to read books (Michael Landford, Ansel Adams) and put into practice what he read, revealing at first the black and white films, then he used his uncle's enlarger to develop positives in black and white, and later began to reveal slide and positive role in the destruction of dyes (CibaChrome).

Rafel has been selected in the following competitions:

Member of the Photographic Association Extremeña participating in several group exhibitions and publishing group with the same Book 25 Years of Photography Extremadura.

In November 2004 he created his own personal exposure dal entitled "Report FIXED" in the Cultural Center of Santa Marina ZAFRA ((Badajoz)
